This week we done with all the flavour
that is....
Flavoured Roti Jala
Objective:
- To add fruit flavour and food colouring into the batter.
- To combine to colour of batter in on dish.
Ingredient:
1 cup All purpose flour
3/4 cup Water
1/2 cup Fresh milk
1 nos Whole egg
3 tbsp Corn oil
1/2 tsp Salt
2 to 3 drop Egg yellow colouring
2 to 3 drop Rose pink colouring
2 to 3 drop Fortuna red colouring
2 to 3 drop Apple green colouring
1 1/2 tsp Banana flavour
1 1/2 tsp Green apple flavour
1 1/2 tsp Peppermint flavour
1 1/2 tsp Pandan flavour
2 to 3 drop Rose pink colouring
2 to 3 drop Fortuna red colouring
2 to 3 drop Apple green colouring
1 1/2 tsp Banana flavour
1 1/2 tsp Green apple flavour
1 1/2 tsp Peppermint flavour
1 1/2 tsp Pandan flavour
Method:
- Mixed all the ingredient except the food flavour and food colouring using a whisk, then strain the mixture to rid off the lumps.
- Divide the batter into four part in different bowl.
- Add in the banana, peppermint, apple and pandan flavour into the four batter. Mix the flavour well and divide each batter into two smaller part.
- Add in different food colouring for the same flavour.
- Preheat the 10" inch non-stick pan without using oil, then squeeze the mixture into the pan and form a stripe and using another different colour batter to squeeze another stripe to form a net shape.
- Let it cook for a few minutes.
- After the roti jala is cooked carefully remove from pan using a spatula.
- Serve hot or cold.

Final Evaluation:
- Some of the taste are blunt and tasteless but only the peppermint taste is strong.
- The apple sauce is too thin and the mango sauce is delicious.
- The combination of colour is not well match so we will do only one colour in the future.
